Teresa and John are retired software developers in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Although retired, we still continue to explore software.

In the past Teresa has dabbled with Drupal 7 and Backdrop CMS.  She has played with PHP, Javascript, HTML, and CSS. Many years ago (ancient history) she programmed in C on on UNIX systems.

John currently teaches First Aid and CPR. In the past, he was a software manager and in ancient history he programmed in many languages and environments.

Why the name "Code Tailors"? Software development is a creative process, much like sewing. There are lots of building blocks (materials) and there are many ways to combine the pieces (cut and sewn) to produce the final result. In the world of software today, you can often find a ready made package or application that solves your problem. If you want something a little more individual, you can find an expert (tailor) who understands what you want and can help you achieve your results sooner. If you want to DIY (do it yourself) you will learn a lot and you will have full control, but it will take longer to reach your goal.

We like to support open source projects which empower all of us to learn, to be creative and to be productive. Our thanks to some of the projects, books, and people that have been helpful in our adventures in technology.
