Hi, I'm Teresa Chin, a software developer in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
You can reach me through this website. I build websites with PHP, Javascript, HTML, and CSS. In particular, I like to use Drupal (a content management system) to build websites. The work you see under the portfolio are websites that I have built and manage. I started my career in programming as a UNIX and C programmer many years ago, but I like to explore code to see what can be built with it. Contact me if you need to see a résumé or references.

Why the name "Code Tailors"? I've always felt that software development is a creative process, much like sewing. There are lots of building blocks (materials) and there are many ways to combine the pieces (cut and sewn) to produce the final result. In the world of software today, you can often find a ready made package or application that solves your problem. If you want something a little more individual, you can find an expert (tailor) who understands what you want and can help you achieve your results sooner. If you want to DIY (do it yourself) you will learn a lot and you will have full control, but it will take longer to reach your goal.

I solve problems using open source technology and some custom code. This would not be possible without the many people that contribute and share open source projects. Open source projects empower all of us to learn, to be creative and to be productive. My thanks to some of the projects, books, and people that have been helpful in my adventures in technology.
