If you consider the pre-installed MIUI apps as bloat, then you'll have to repeat the same de-bloating process in xiaomi.eu ROM as well. But generally speaking, the international and global variants are unlocked phones (not carrier branded) which will work on most standard GSM and LTE networks.

On paper it should give better battery life and performance as you dont have Mi apps and Google apps that would otherwise be in background (you only have play services and play store installed, not even maps installed).Even if performance is exactly the same you will still get rom without any chinese inside (there are some leftovers in global version)I have manually removed most of MIUI "trackwares" and Google apps, so I think that could be a somewhat near equivalent of Xiaomi.eu ROMs performance-wise. The apps I use ar there when I need them and they don't reload all the time. I guess that falls into the bloat category.Also, once you switch over to .EU MIUI 10 Rom you're not absolutely required to upgrade weekly.
